OkCupid.com

OKCupid.Com has gone through a remarkable rebranding throughout the long term, and we were eager to see where it arrived during our latest OKCupid.Com survey. At first, the application was pretty promptly known as a spot to meet individuals for some, you know, relaxed fun. It was to a greater degree a spot to find a companion for the end of the week than it was to track down your first love.

In any case, individuals have been OkCupid.com detailing some accomplishment with different kinds of connections objectives with this application because of an emphasis on moving into a climate that is more like fruitful serious dating applications like eHarmony and Tip top Singles.

All in all, are these reports precise? Indeed, we set off to make quick work of it in our latest OKCupid audit! In the event that you're prepared to see our outcomes, take a load off, and we should get into it.

Is OKCupid.Com Worth It? – The Bottom Line Upfront

In the event that you're enthusiastic about things like orientation inclusivity, controversial policy driven issues (like their recently added favorable to decision profile identification), and you like a ton of fancy odds and ends (accessible for procurement) you would say, OkCupid may merit looking at for you. Furthermore, a significant part of the site can be gotten to free of charge, with a ton of overhauls and lifts accessible at extra expenses. A few locales likewise report a userbase size in the 50 million territory, which is surely something that grabs our eye assuming that it's valid (not affirmed by the organization).

Where we begin to dislike OKCupid.Com is with the general client experience. It's one of those applications where it seems tumultuous and like there is such a lot of going on it seems like you're lost on where to snap or what to do. Without a doubt, this is perfect in the event that you have a ton of time to devote to sorting things out, yet on the off chance that your main objective is tracking down somebody exceptional — you're most likely going to get baffled.

Furthermore, there are advertisements in the event that you're not utilizing an overhauled participation (which is irritating). You additionally will not have the option to message anybody except if there is a shared match, such a lot of like Kindling (claimed by a similar organization), you're at the impulse of your photos and profile getting you in the entryway. On the off chance that you're not somebody who typically receives a ton of value messages, you may not honestly love this.

What's more, assuming you like OkCupid.com having some control of having the option to look through your matches, you will not have that choice here. OkCupid is fundamentally a swipe-style dating application spruced up with a great deal of new fancy odds and ends.

Pros and Cons of the OKCupid.Com Dating App

Cons:

What is OKCupid.Com?

OKCupid is an online dating website and app (available on iOS and Android) that was founded in 2004 and is currently owned by the Match Group (owners of Tinder, Hinge, etc.). It was purchased by IAC (Match’s parent company) in 2011 for $50 million in cash.

Historically, the site has been known more as a playground for singles looking for casual dating and hookups. However, through some rebranding, the site is now attempting to target singles who are looking for something a bit more serious, as well. Your four options for relationship goals listed on OKCupid are New Friends, Short Term, Long Term, and Hookups.

How Does OKCupid Work?

What was real interesting during our most recent OKCupid review was that we expected the site to be a profile-based, message-who-you-want style of dating app (like it used to be). However, somewhere in the recent years, OKCupid transitioned into a swipe dating app. Most likely this is because the owners of the site wanted to mirror the success they were having with one of their other swipe brands (Tinder).

Users are shown different profiles of other users that they can select that they like them. If the other user also selects they like you, you’re able to start messaging each other. Different from Tinder, though, is that there are a few other ways to generate initial contact like commenting on pictures and boosting your profile.

As mentioned, OKCupid operates on a mutual match system where you only hear from people who also say they like you. That means that in order to send messages, you have to go and like other users. With a free account, you are limit in the number of likes you can send out. However, with the paid accounts (Basic and Premium), you’re free to send as many likes as you want. Which should inevitably help to increase your chances of a match. It does also, however, increase the chances. That some people are just clicking like on everyone and only actually looking at profiles if they have a match.

  • The worst ever dating site! When I joined I was a free member for a while, then they started sending message alerts. They made it look like I had so many messages but I could only read them after paying. Imagine my disappointment after paying only to discover that all the 24 messages were nothing but site generated fake images with nothing but a heart emoji or some stupid question like ‘what is your favourite..?’ The site is a rip off!

  • There is a lot of good guys out there. Just takes awhile to find the right one. I am glad I hung in there to do just that!

  • I thought choices were limited. But I am very happy I met someone. I wish your site good luck..

  • It is a ripoff.A bunch of fake profiles Scammers. Jilust like this site waiting to rip u off.Beggars asking for money gift cards and trying to get any info they can to scam you.Stay away from this Scamsite for your own good.

  • I have found this application most annoying to use. I was in the midst of some conversations with some users on the second day of usage for this application. All of a sudden it stopped everything and I needed to verify my account, which means taking a selfie. I hate doing it and I did it like four times. And they all failed. I contacted support the same reply. Unfortunately your account wasn’t verify. How fantastic 👏 Seriously, if you already have my phone number, then what’s so hard about verifying the face? Anyway, I’ve given up on this application. It’s too frustrating for nothing. The verifying process shouldn’t be so hard. Obviously the face on pictures will change depending on the environment.

  • Scam scam scam. When they don’t send you to every other affiliate site of theirs and continue to charge you. The woman on the site send you to bs bogus dating card sites that cost anywhere from $150 to $400 and or request you to get $600 per two night bs hookup rooms. Just a bunch of money mules here

  • Stay away from this site. It’s full of fake accounts and all messages you receive and all chats are with bots. Bots, bots and more bots! Can’t get any worse!

  • This dating site are so evasive , make it almost impossible to cancel , Be warned they will take money for months even after you cancel. It is best to use a credit card . never a debit card , you can issue a cashback with a credit card , They advertise as a free dating site , you sign up , then they hit you with alarming fees , moist of the profiles of women are fake

  • Have not been able to get on the site for a few days….says error, tried logging off and logging back on again. And of course because I cannot get into it I cannot ask for help. Get your act together. Terrible reviews on here.

  • Complete scam! Very few real people, no appropriate matches close to me, impossibility to cancel. They are typical dating scoundrels! There is only hoax and no scam, only fake profiles and nasty community – a 100% contrast to what a dating site should be like. Don’t waste your time on this site, I can tell for sure, with so much choice of dating apps and sites, they are not worth a dime!

  • The site is useless: matches are ridiculously inappropriate and unavailable. There is no search option. The only thing I regret is having wasted a few months of my life on this site. Now I’m having troubles trying to remove my account. They are not willing to let people go so they deliberately make it difficult to cancel.

  • On numerous occasions I have not been able to send messages. I click on the icon but message doesn’t send. I have emailed the company to report but have never received a satisfactory answer as the problem still exists. I have called but I apparently get put on hold as music just plays and plays and plays! No one ever answers and my problem never gets corrected. I won’t waste my money again. Starting my 4th month and no correction to the problem.

  • This company I thought was legit is full of scammers. I contacted my bank & got a full refund, no questions asked. My bank knows they are a scam. Fake profiles & people who are dead still on their website, what a joke. Thanks for my money back for your fraudulent website.

  • I joined this site and after a week saw that it wasn’t performing like I had hoped. The amount of people available and the amount I liked and messaged versus how many of them viewed my profile. So I was unhappy after a week and called customer service for a refund. They refused to give me one, said I only had 2 days to do that. I told them just prorate it for the week I used. They refused and have stuck me with a service I don’t want for 6 months. SO REMEMBER IF YOU WANT TO CANCEL YOU HAVE 2 DAYS!!!

  • They have likely fake accounts. Once you pay for a membership they come you into having to buy coins. No customer support or replies at all. Stay away from this site!!
